Although the name evokes a European heritage, the very first Häagen-Dazs store actually opened in Brooklyn Heights, NY. It is the fine ingredients and the extraordinary flavors that set this brand apart. That was the intention of Reuben Mattus when he created the brand, and it remains true today.
The packaging showcases beautifully photographed ingredients and includes tasting notes on the side of each container. The genuine care and attention that goes into each flavor can now be fully understood, appreciated, and celebrated.
Remaining consistent with the new graphic architecture, sorbet and gelato products were given their own distinctive color palette to ensure clear segmentation in the freezer cabinets.
The packaging design was honored by Creativity International Awards.
