"Design is a powerful business tool; used to solve problems, create value and build loyalty. Its potential is unlimited. The creative expression of a brand can and should inform, inspire and enhance our daily lives."
It's this belief that excites me and fuels my creativity. Before I founded Virtue and Hot Sauce, I worked as a Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer here in the U.S., England, Germany and Canada. As such, I’ve enjoyed designing some of the world’s most successful brands across many product categories. A designer by training, I’ve led major packaging and brand identity programs for Bayer, Interbrew, Kimberly-Clark, LVMH, Nestlé, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. I’ve built award winning design teams in New York, Chicago, London, Toronto and Düsseldorf.
As well as a lifelong obsession with packaging design, I have a keen interest in modern and contemporary art, period architecture—and Marmite. Being British, I’m also an avid gardener. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll probably find me outside, up to my elbows in mud. I have started to experiment with alternative gardening methods and heirloom plant varieties. In 2016 our Hudson office and garden were featured in The World of Interiors. Our Harlem studio has been featured on the cover of The New York Times magazine, and has been the backdrop for fashion shoots by Vogue, Paris 99 and Bergdorf Goodman.
I look forward to welcoming you at either location.
